Privacy

This explains what data we handle and what for. We wrote it in plain language, without fine print nobody needs.

The short version

Instante exists to round up the photos from an event and, if you want, help you meet people at that same party. We ask for the minimum data needed to make that work and nothing else. We don't sell your information and we don't use it to follow you around the internet.

What data we collect

  • From whoever creates an event (the host): your email and a password for your account, plus the details of the event you set up (name, date, settings).
  • From guests: the photos they upload to the album and a name or nickname to show inside the event. You don't need an account to take photos.
  • From the social layer: if you use it, your light event profile, your likes and, when there's a match, the Instagram handle you choose to share.
  • From payments: the payment is processed by MercadoPago. We store whether a plan was paid or not, but we don't see or keep your card details.

What we use it for

  • Running the event: storing and revealing the photos, and showing the album to whoever should see it.
  • Powering the optional social part: profiles, likes and matches inside the event.
  • Charging for the plan you pick, through MercadoPago.
  • Looking after the service: preventing abuse and handling content reports.

Where the photos live

Photos are hosted in cloud file storage. Access to the album depends on the privacy setting the host picks when creating the event: it can stay limited to the guests who came in through the link.

How long we keep it

We keep the event data for as long as the event exists. If an event gets deleted, its photos and its social layer go with it. Your host account stays until you ask us to close it.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data. As a host you manage your event from your account. As a guest, you can ask the host to take down a photo of you, or use the reporting and blocking controls inside the event.

Contact

If you have a question about your data or you want to exercise any of these rights, write to us through the contact channels on the site and we'll get back to you.
